Virtual Office Assistants work from THEIR OWN OFFICE doing the projects you need completed, providing support services, or functioning as a personal assistant. Some may do on-site work, especially if your project requires the use of special equipment located at your place of business, but I generally do not. I provide nearly 100% of my office administration services from my own office and rarely take any projects that require my working outside my own office location. If your project requires someone be on-site to complete your work, I will likely not accept the work/project.
